One developer, personally responsible for every school
I’m Prashant Kumar Chaturvedi, a software developer from Jharkhand, India. I built Schoolmix, and I run it — the code, the servers, the backups, the training and the support. When you work with Schoolmix, you work with me.
Schoolmix exists for the schools big software companies ignore: private schools in smaller towns with a few hundred to a couple of thousand students, where fees still live in receipt books, registers and Excel sheets. Those schools don’t need fifty modules and a sales team. They need fee collection that is fast at the counter, numbers the director can trust, and a person who picks up the phone.
Today Schoolmix runs the daily fee counter in 2 schools in Jharkhand. I set up each one myself — sat with the office staff, loaded their students, and trained them on their own data. That’s not a launch phase I’ll grow out of; it’s how I intend to work. It’s also why I’d rather grow slowly with schools that are happy than sign up faster than I can serve.
What being solo means for your school
- No relay race. The person who answers your WhatsApp message is the person who wrote the code and configured your school. Problems get fixed at the source, not logged in a ticket system.
- Straight answers. If the software doesn’t do something, I’ll tell you — and if it’s worth building, you’ll often see it added, because the roadmap is driven by real schools, not a sales deck.
- Careful with your data. Each school has its own isolated database, nightly backups to Google Drive with tested restores, an audit log, and a recycle bin. Your records are your school’s — if you ever leave, you take a full export with you.

The fastest way to see if Schoolmix fits your school is a short conversation. If you’re in or near Jharkhand, I can come to your school and show it at your own fee counter.
